Review:

It’s that time of the month where I read Captain Marvel and be amazed by its sheer awesomeness and write a very good review about it. So here I go again:

The first story arc of Captain Marvel comes to an end. We are back where we started. With the note Helen Cobb sends Carol. We also get something very rare in a superhero comic a good and satisfying end. Kelly Sue DeConnick is my new hero!  The series is continuing, as it should, but this book gives some great closure to Carol’s time travel tale.

Emma Rios is no less awesome; she too showcases her artistry in this issue. The last issue had very little action sequences and she handled it well. This had tons and she handled this wonderfully. This is becoming the best comic book series in the shops at this moment!!

Well, just when you think that a comic can not do any better, Kelly Sue and her Captain Marvel series just surprises you.. This issue is a work of art.. No, truly a work of ART!! Kelly Sue DeConnick is just wonderful. Whatever I say about her is not enough. The dialogue, the story, the art……… SO AWESOME! There’s nothing to hate in this issue.

This one is all about Helen Cobb and Carol Danvers. You don’t see much of Captain Marvel in this issue- but you know what, I don’t care. The issue is funny; the story is good and heartfelt. I feel that this is one of those unique series’ that Marvel should be proud of. It’s good that they let Kelly do her magic and make this one of my favorite Comic. I look forward to this, every month only because of her.

The artwork is also brilliant! This issue has one of the best artwork! This is also the best issue. Emma Rios is so awesome. The cover art was also fantastic. I really want to give a standing ovation to the team for such a wonderful comic!

Review:

Looking at the first issue, one would expect the second issue to be as good as the one before, but this issue sadly failed to deliver. When they gave the title of “Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe”, did they also include the readers? ‘Cause this comic was so boring that it’s killing me.

We were introduced to the newly maddened Deadpool in the previous issue. This issue, I’d expected some justification for the killings or something of such sort, but I got nothing. We know whats going to happen in this comic from the title itself, but what we want is something more interesting. The soliloquies of Deadpool are less than interesting. They don’t provide any information into the character. What I liked was the commentary on how Deadpool is being used as a character. This issue wasn’t too good. The story was badly written. And some of the scenes, the emotions of the characters looked melodramatic and they looked posed. I’m all up for killing Spiderman and getting rid of him as I don’t like him, but they could have made it little more interesting.
