The Review:
I have not seen the 1990 one and have heard that they have changed it a bit. For example, the removed the role of Mithun Chakroborty who played Krishnan Iyer M. A. And to replace him Rishi Kapoor as Rauf Lala has been added as competition to Kancha.
The movie itself was very good. The actors did a great job in channelling the 1990 version of the movie. The only actor I didn’t like was Hritik Roshan. I’ve never liked his acting.
Sanjay Dutt was just marvellous in playing Kancha. He was perfect for the job. He actually looked scary in the movie.
Rishi Kapoor’s role and acting I thought was Awesome. the best actor throughout the movie was clearly Sanjay Dutt as Kancha.
This movie had the biggest opening of ₹ 25 Cr.
The movie was a bit too long. The length was 3 hrs 15 mins. Out of that, the first half was excellent. But the second half was not as good as the first. The last 30 minutes was utter rubbish. It was like eating a cake whose icing is good but the main cake is left uncooked. Here the icing being the first half and the uncooked cake the end.
The end is what brings the movie to a close. But here the ending was terrible.

Final Verdict:
The first half was awesome. The second half was also good but couldn’t match up to the first and the ending was horrible. Thus I’m giving it a 6.5/10.

Director: Tomas Alfredson

The Cast:

John Hurt as Control

Gary Oldman as George Smiley

Toby Jones as Percy Alleline

Benedict Cumberpatch as Peter Guillam

David Dencik as Toby Esterhouse

Colin Firth as Bill Haydon

Mark Strong as Jim Prideaux.

The Story:

In the bleak days of the Cold War, espionage veteran George Smiley is forced from semi-retirement to uncover a Soviet agent within MI6’s echelons.

The Review:

The movie was just brilliant. It takes place in the 1970’s, before all the cool gadgets and cool cars and the technology. It’s an old school spy movie at its best. It is based on John Le Carre’s book of the same name. Apparently he based the book on the nursery rhyme:

Tinker, Tailor

Soldier, Sailor

Rich man, Poor man

Beggar man, Thief.

The movie shows how the British Intelligence Agency actually works with out the glitz and glamour. Gary Oldman has done an outstanding job in portraying George Smile. And it was good to see Benedict Cumberpatch with blonde hair and not playing Sherlock. he has done great job in playing both. The change of scenery was nice.

The music in the movie was awesome. John Le Carre makes a cameo in the movie.

Final Verdict:

I throughly enjoyed the movie. 9/10. A must watch for those who like espionage movies.

The Review:

After long the best novel of John Grisham, The Firm, has a sequel and its AWESOME. Nothing much can be said about this series. The 2-Hour Premiere was pretty good. And I can’t wait for the next episode on Thursday.

Final Verdict:

A truly nail-biting and gripping Show. An awesome ending to the first episode.

The Review:

A great man once tweeted “RT @TheDoctor_gk “Best. Mission Impossible. Ever.” Well… that great man happens to be me. And I’m right. The best part is that I got to see a paid preview of it last night st 10:00. The action sequences in this movie are better that in the other three. The SFX was also AWESOME. And the OST by Michael Giacchino was just AWESOME. 50-year-old Tom Cruise seems to be doing better action than 5 years ago in MI3. Director Brad Bird has done a great job  in directing his first live-action film. The last time I saw Ethan Hunt was 5 years go in 2006 in Dubai. I had actually MI3 the movie 1 & 1/2 times for reasons i don’t want to get into. The Burj Khalifa scene was hands down the best part in the whole movie. The scenery from the Burj was just amazing. Brad Bird and Tom Cruise are ready for the 5th Mission Impossible movie. Easily one of the best movies this year. But the only part that I didn’t like was the India part. The Car lift thing is nowhere in India. And the place where they shot the movie was not at all Mumbai. And I felt that they could have got some one better to do the role of Brij Nath than Anil Kapoor. But this small mistake can be overlooked.

I’ve said it before and I’m saying it again  Best. Mission Impossible. Ever.

Final Verdict :

All in all an awesome movie. I don’t mind seeing it again. 10/10. I hate repeating myself but I feel it is necessary Best. Mission Impossible. Ever.
